The aim of the project is to ensure that the capacity of existing facilities in the deprived wards of Rock and St Blaise are fully utilised for the benefit of local communities. The Objectives are:
- To develop delivery partnerships with a range of statutory and non-statutory organisations in order to ensure that service delivery in the deprived wards in terms of health, lifelong learning, social services, community safety and community development is carried out in an integrated and cohesive manner.
- To ensure that long-term sustainability of both centres by forging operational links with other community support organisations and delivery partners (as outlined above)
- To design and deliver a range of projects and activities which meet the needs of the local communities and which address specific deprivation issues in both wards with particular focus on activities such as advice and guidance on employment as well as training opportunities.
- To identify and deliver revenue-generating activities, including letting of space/facilities at the centres to other delivery partners in order to reduce reliance on short-term and/or grant funding.
- To devise and implement marketing strategies for both centres to ensure organisational and individual take-up of facilities and activities is maximised.
